Bhavya is a strategic designer currently based in Madrid, Spain.
the origin story
Born as a mixed Indian child to two food scientists, she grew up as a third culture kid in South Africa, Brazil, Shanghai, and Singapore.
She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design's Hong Kong & Savannah campuses to pursue a B.F.A. in Motion Media and a minor in Film. She then spent the next 5+ years moving through production as a motion designer and filmmaker in branding and advertising.
The closer she got to the work, the bigger the questions became: not just does this frame work? but why are we making this, who’s it for, and what are we actually trying to do here?
That led her to Madrid, where she completed an International MBA and a Master's in Customer Experience & Innovation at IE University. (The search for the city’s best tortilla has been incidental.)
She still loves disappearing into the late-night flow state of an edit, but also likes zooming out, Powers of Ten style. Sometimes that means making, sometimes figuring out what should be made, and often translating between the people doing each.
If she's not sketching layouts on her whiteboard, she's chasing sunsets with a camera or feeding her friends a four-course feast.
